Meet our GJRA Queen
Graylynn Underwood
Age: 17
Hometown: Chatsworth, Georgia
Hi! My name is Graylynn Underwood, and I am an upcoming senior at North Murray High School. I am actively involved in FCA and FFA, and I am also a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church Youth Group.
This is my third year competing with the Georgia Junior Rodeo Association. I compete in Breakaway Roping, Goat Tying, Pole Bending, and Barrel Racing. Rodeo has become so much more than a sport to me—it has taught me faith, determination, humility, responsibility, and how to keep going even when things don’t go as planned. Through rodeo, I’ve made lifelong friendships, learned valuable life lessons, and grown into the person I am today.
My favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV):“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
I am truly honored and beyond thankful to have the opportunity to represent our rodeo family as Rodeo Queen. This title means so much more to me than wearing a crown—it is a chance to be a positive role model, encourage others, and represent the values that rodeo stands for: faith, family, hard work, and sportsmanship. I am so grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way. Thank you for trusting me to represent this amazing organization. I will wear this crown with pride, humility, and a heart full of gratitude.
